Notifications
Vessl sends in-app and email notifications for key events across your apps, servers, and backups. The bell icon in the top navigation shows your unread count.
What triggers a notification
| Event | Who gets notified |
|---|---|
| Deploy succeeded | App owner |
| Deploy failed | All team members with deploy access |
| Backup succeeded (manual) | App owner |
| Backup failed | App owner |
| Scheduled backup failed | App owner |
| Disk usage at 80% of plan quota | Team owner |
| Disk usage at 100% of plan quota | Team owner |
Deploy failure notifications go to the whole team (not just the owner) because a broken deploy affects everyone working on the project.
In-app notifications
Click the bell icon in the top navigation to open the notification panel. Unread notifications are highlighted. Click a notification to mark it as read and navigate to the relevant resource.
You can also mark all notifications as read at once from the panel.
Email notifications
Vessl sends emails to the addresses on file for the events listed above. Email delivery goes to the account's registered email — make sure it's up to date in Account Settings → Profile.
Disk quota alerts
When your team's total disk usage (across all app volumes on all servers) reaches 80% of your plan's quota, Vessl sends an alert so you have time to act. At 100%, a second alert is sent.
Disk quotas by plan:
| Plan | Quota |
|---|---|
| Hobby | 2 GB |
| Starter | 5 GB |
| Pro | 20 GB |
Disk usage is measured daily and shown on each app's Overview tab under the Disk card.
